A warm welcome from the director:
Hi,
I am the proud director of the 10 amazing individuals who co-founded Forefront Theatre Company. Having a group this size, it is important to capture the creativity and strengths of every one of them. This is why, for our first performance, our company has been working on a project that we feel relates to all of us.
Shoes to Fill looks into the lives of everyday people and those of our performers. Structuring our piece around the five expectations, we feel society expects people to fill throughout their life, we take a serious and sometimes comical look into the aspirations, expectations and role models that people have. Shoes to Fill was written by our company and includes: verbatim, original songs and lots of shoes!
I’d like to thank everybody who has allowed our company to use their stories in Shoes to Fill and those who have supported our journey so far. We hope you enjoy our work!
